Approx how long does it take for the average frags to grow to 2 to 3 inches ?

Frag of what? Growth rates of corals varies so much it would be hard to throw an avg. number out there for you. Some could take weeks, some could take years to grow a couple inches. I am sure someone could give you a rough avg. on a particular coral if you have one in mind. Even then so many variables can effect the growth rate you could see something completely different in your tank.
