anyone did a magnetic frag rack for a 15mm glass?
Which (and how many) magnet did you use ?

I'm having trouble finding a good match with the internal waterproof magnets (more or less 6kg force) and the external N52 20x10 (15kg). It doesn't hold... a little bit pressure and both parts will split

Back a few years ago ( ok maybe 20), I made a bunch of frag racks for myself and friends.
I used 1" x 3/8" and 1" x 1/4" neodymium magnets.
I had to waterproof the inside magnets with molds and tinted casting resin.
These hold very well through 1/2" glass.

because im using 22*11 waterproof and 20*10 N52 magnets and they doesn't hold. a Little bit pressure on the rack shelf and they split

Just a couple of magnets for each rack?
It depends on how long each rack is.
Most of the frag racks I made were about 12" long x 5" wide.
I usually used 2 magnets on the inside and 2 magnets on the outside.
I found an old picture that shows 1 of the steps I took making them.

A picture of one in one of my tanks.

Now, there are so many vendors making and selling pretty nice looking ones it's not worth the trouble and effort to make your own.
When I made mine, there wasn't anyone making them commercially.
Everything back then was diy.

I believe that a DIY rack is just as good, cheaper and more rewarding!

I used magnets from Avast Marine for the inside the tank part and random left over powerhead magnets on the outside. My glass ~19mm

they doesn't Say which magnets are using

I used an old magfloat glass cleaner I had laying around, and I glued a piece of acrylic on it. magnet is solid and waterproof, and when I move my frags around a bit, I clean the glass for better picture ;)
