Hi Folks,
What is happening with this Frag? I can't see any Vermetids, but a small patch of algae overgrowing a coralite. When fish are fed, the frag seems to shed its skin- though it keeps a bit of color. Little to no PE. Recently the salinity reached 1.029 due to an ATO issue- it must've been at that level for 2-3 days. Over the past two days i've corrected it. For 4 days i've been ramping up the dosage of ME nitrates- and am seeing great PE on my Nasuta. Too much change for SPS recently, but I'm afraid if I dont get on track it'll be curtains for some of these.
1.026
Alk: 8.3
Phos: .04ppm (ULR h-meter)
Nitrate: .5ppm (Salifert)
Ca: 440
Mg:1200
I attached several more photos of frags that don't seem to shed but have the patch of algae... infiltrating the coral's skin?
Is this some infection, any input is much appreciated, how can i stop this?
