frag saw grease

Hey reefers

Did anyone ever grease the frag saw?
pulling my frag saw out today and notice rust on the aluminum collar. I remove the lower wheel and see the shaft has no more grease.
Which grease should or can be use?

I've read 100% silicone. I have no idea if that's true.

Rust on aluminum, what does this “rust” look like. Only if it’s white powdery substance is it rust on that Aluminum. If it’s like iron rust it’s likely a residue from something else.
Aluminum rusts differently than other metals.

I know a few years ago a friend and I were discussing using aluminum frames for led light racks. My friend said he was going to just leave the aluminum bare with no paint ( I was going to powder coat mine.). I asked him how he plans on dealing with the corrosion and he said he uses vegetable oil. Said it works great.

I wonder about pure coconut oil. It's water soluble.

it could possible the shaft holding the wheel was rust from!!! it look exactly metal rust.
