Hey everyone! So im switching from running a display tank to just setting up a tank where i can have a few fish and grow coral since i've decided i enjoy coral more. The tank itself is a 75g acrylic with a 75g sump. Im going from my display system that was about 55g total system volume so this is a bit more to work with. Im planning on moving all of my coral over from my display but i have nuisances like bubble algae and aptasia and i really do not want to bring that over to the new system. Aptasia i may just frag around and quarantine to ensure they aren't coming over but for the bubble algae should i also quarantine after removing?

Question about filtration. Should I was planning on using brightwell aquatics bricks instead of live rock. What are the thoughts on this for this type of tank?

The brightwell bricks suck and they fall apart rather easy. I would stick with pure blocks.

I've had the exact opposite experience actually. I just bought 3 of the marine pure bricks and they fall apart even just running it under water to remove the dust

I like sipporax a lot and it keeps itself fairly clean just sitting in the passive flow of my sump. Haven't had any issues with breakage.
