So i have 2 fiberglass 80 gallon tubs, a 40 gallon sump. Reef octopus 150 skimmer. That I'm going to put on a rack and make a all in 1 system. Im wondering if i should/could plumb in a separate container that i could house live rock in. I dont see why not. Maybe a closed loop pump in a brute trash can thats fed from filtered clean water from the sump. I imagine it would increase my filtration, total gallons reducing swings. Also do i need to have lights on live rock.
