So I set up a frag tank in the last 3 days, it took me some time and new experience for the bean animal overflow. So it isn't much yet, I have vinyl tubing on it now but will be installing pic all the way to the return tonight. Here's some shots of the tank.

The metal brackets are what concerns me. Are they the only means of attachment at the joints?

Just the top joints. The square is screwed together so that it can't change shape and the metal brackets hold it to the posts coming up. Both ways

The metal brackets are not a good way to go. Over time they will allow movement, I'm concerned you will end up with a lot of side to side and front to back movement. You may want to consider a stronger joint.

Hard to tell from the picture, what type of screws are you using? Drywall screws should not be used in any load bearing situations.
