Hey guys.,.. I will be setting up my new 93 gallon cube soon. I'm looking to connect a 10 or 20 gallon frag tank to the cube. Can anyone draw me the plumbing? I know there are a few ways to do it.... The more the merrier!!! Thnx

Plumbing would have to be specific to your application and placement of everything. I was lucky on the original setup of my tank in that I already had a T running off of my return to loop a percentage of return water back into my sump for double polishing. So when I stumbled upon a batch of predrilled 20g tanks with bulkheads for $10 a piece it was an easy application. Just have it fed from the return line and gravity overflows back to sump.

I ran an oversized pump on my 75 so I just had a tee on the return plumbing with a ball valve to control flow to the frag tank. A separate pump will work also, either way just be sure there is enough room in your sump for both tanks to drain if the power goes out.

I just added a mag 3 and drilled a 10 gallon with a glass holes overflow kit. Two return pumps in my sump now. A mag 5 for the display and a mag 3 for the frag.

I may just get a 30g and put baffles and partition it to have a section for everything I want. Kinda like this pic

drilling two holes in the sump would be helpful to plumb your frag tank into the system one to pump to the frag tank and one for a drain from the frag tank and including some check valves before the drain enters the sump on the display and frag tank in case of power outages would be a good safety net

That looks good. I was originally going to use my sump for frags before building my frag tank. Planned on using a par38 lit opposite my display schedule to reduce ph swings

Quick question. I just sketched what a few people told me how to do the plumbing but have a issue(I think). The frag tank is 10gal, if my flow is going from display into frag , will it be fast and powerful?.... Probably too much flow. I dont want to restrict flow anywhere by putting a valve to control it.

You should flip that.
I would let the display tank drain stright into the sump
Get a bigger return pump and split it and have gate valves on it to control how much goes to each tank,
And let the water from the frag tank drain back into the sump.
