thought they needed sand?Melanurus wrasse is perfect!. or six line lol. Serves a good purpose in taking care of unwanted pests and such too
Important as well though is does it do anything beneficial?I have 1 in 2 seperate frag tanks. They are perfectly fine. They will sleep under or next to a small rock or frag
I wouldn't keep a Melanarus wrasse is a substrate free tank. They will find a place to sleep, but wouldn't be as comfortable and happy.
I've got a 6-line in my display tank and he's a model citizen. I guess they're like pygmy angels nipping at corals; they can be hit or miss....I agree. Sixline does not need a sand substrate. The only suitable place for a Sixline is a frag tank, IMO, lol.
If you don't have substrate, you should provide a small container of gravel for it to sleep in. Also makes it super easy to catch when the time comes.
Ive tried at least 3 different 6 lines and they are all terrors. The latest one i added is chasing my anthias around and im about to tear the tank down to get him out. Got it from josh breakdown tank in which him and lindsay said he was a good fish ,WRONG!! The coral beauty is also nipping my pink lemonade making it have no PE during the daytime. U guys sure got me good this time hahaha
That's crazy..... they were both model citizens at their previous home.
