I️f anybody has watched this video or has the time to watch I️t, I️t will be very helpful to me. I️ want to figure out what type of filtration he is going to use in this tank and what are the ups and downs of the tank set up this way?

As there are no fish in that system, the need for filtration is far less - I doubt that there is any mechanical filtration on the system at all. @Ryanbrs mentioned adding some Bio Spira, so there is biological filtration at least.

This is a coral propagation tank only - so it's biggest downside would be that it couldn't support any fish. The upside, of course, is that it's a very simple system with very little to go wrong. About the only thing I see right away that I would personally change (assuming I wanted to build such a propagation tank) would be to use a second heater.

We stopped selling those trays because I ultimately felt the trays are a bit shallow for this purpose. It was a low cost functional solution.

As far as filtration goes I think we put marine pure in the channels but live rock rubble would likely be suitable.

Thank you Ryan, I️ already have the whole tray set up and everything. My tank is setup and running already. I️ just wanted to see if another mechanical filtration was going to be used. Again thank you very much Ryan!

Understandable, I️ have the possibility of making a sump since the tank was pre drilled before purchase. I️ just wanted to start off propagating zoanthids and paly’s. Thank you very much!
