Have a new frag tank - 24 x 24 x 10 and I would like some opinions on lighting. Was originally thinking of just a Radion xr15 pro. But now tempted to run MH. Or even a combo but most combos are built for bigger tanks and might be overkill.

Any suggestions? Frag tank will probably be 2/3 SPS, 1/3 LPS, Zoas, Mushrooms.

Are you planning on growing these frags or maintaining? Halide would be ideal but with such a small tank heat is a huge issue. If you are considering a Radion, go with an XR30 for sure.

I ran a reefbrite combo pendant over an 18" cube and loved it. I ran a 250 watt radium. I 150 watt would probably work well

I'm running a 4 bulb T5 ATI light fixture over my frag tank w/ 3 blue + and 1 coral + and the growth and color on the coral is top notch. It's fairly inexpensive when compared to buying LED options and doesn't have as bad heat issues as MH. W/ 4 bulbs im getting 150 par on the sand bed in the frag tank so if you want to put a bunch of sps in your frag tank I would recommend the 6 bulb. You'll probably get the best results with a T5 set-up in terms of cost, light coverage, color, and growth.

I'd love the 24" ATI combo but it's a little expensive and probably overkill for my frag tank 24x24x11.

And I really don't want to hang anything - if prefer mounting arms. Only seem to find mounting arms for LED fixtures
