I set up a frag tank today and have a question about the t5's I'm going to use. Right now, I've got them just 4" above the water level and the tank is only 8" deep. My question is this...are the lights going to be too close to the corals and if, should I raise them? I'm only going to keep lps and zoa frags in there for the time being.

yea thats a lot of light. 2 bulbs?

around 200 300 par?

It's a total of four 24" bulbs. The dimensions of the tank are 24 long x 16 wide x 8 deep, so it's fairly small. If you think I should have the lights higher off the water, how high would you suggest?

probably 10 to 16 in depending on the quality of the fixture and bulbs you choose. also zoas are not equal and some do like more light,
