i had a thought and wanted to get some opinions. i have a 33 long laying around that is already drilled. i am going to tie it into my 220 to use as a frag tank so i can get the racks out of the display. i have an icecap 430 ballast collecting dust and a bunch of new vho bulbs. would a 2 bulb vho over this tank (12" deep be enough for all my zoa frags. i am trying to just use what i have laying around. what do you think?

I think that would be good. If they stretch for light you can always add a rack to get them higher.

im thinking that would work fine for just zoas/palys...gonna have to beef it up if you add anything other than softies

When i first got my tank all i had were VHos for the first 3 months and all my zoos and acans were happy

thanks guys i have a few 175w halide setups laying around but would rather use the vho. im thinking i super actinic and one actinic white bulb gonna have eggcrate lifted off the ground with a modded mj under it for flow im thinking bare bottom and no rock becuase its hooked into the main system
