Hello,

Im sure a thread like this exists. Wondering what the best inhabitants would be for a 15 column frag tank. This tank will be plumbed into my sump under my stand for an up coming 125 build. Mostly sps frags (acros, montis, stylo, bnest).

Please share any info as to what fish are best to add and why. Thanks!

Algae grazers like a lawnmower blenny, 6 line wrasse will be good for picking at pests, if ur really serious about redbugs a dragonface pipefish is a good SPS frag tank inhabitant although liveaquaria says they should be housed 50+ gallons

Pretty much what @Oscaror said. Your most viable return on investment in this case is use specific inhabitants that will source food from things you are trying to avoid with regards to pests. So for nuisance algae a few snails and algae eater that can be housed safely, and comfortably, in the space you call a frag tank. If that is a Blenny, great. Few wrasses but again tank size restricts this.

I think the coral lab report they did with the Gen 4 ecotech lights PDF / paper also listed their tank stock list. It was designed just for this. The fella (for get his name, sorry) who manages the aquarium in San Francisco and studies coral reproduction did the video with Neptune. Anyway my point is that he also uses fish that help keep algae and pests in check. It was something simple like a tang, wrasse, done.

Your issue is tank size which limits what you are going to do. So if you can work with that you will find a few things to get the job done correctly while being the conscientious marine Aquarist (a great book by Fenner btw) :D Anyway I think you get the idea. Good luck!

About what I was thinking. I was leaning toward a yellow corris and two tail spot blennies.
