What is required when maintaining a frag tank. I know dosing is required to keep some of the parameters up. Are water changes needed?

Depends on what your looking todo with the frag tank will determine level of maintenance. If looking to grow out and propagate frags than the same level of maintenance would be needed you do on any reef tank. Dosing, WC, etc.
if looking to run the frag tank as just a QT for new additions. Than just water changes should be enough.

Do you do the water changes the same frequency amount as a reef and fish tank? Considering there isn’t much waste being produced? Or is there a lot of waste that comes out even though I’m not feeding?

If the bio load is small I would think you could get away with minimal water changes. Depending on what corals you keep will determine the dosing of Alk, CA, and Mag, you will need. If it will be fishless, you will need an ammonia source to keep the nitrogen cycle going. This can be done with weekly light feeding.

When you say weekly light feeding, can I just throw in some pellets? Also, I have alot of ammonia chloride, should I just add some of that each week? If so, how much?
