My students are excited and want to eventually have a frag tank they see it as a "coral garden" and want build one. This will obviously be a down the road deal but was thinking it would be nice to see some "Coral Garden" pictures

WOW STUNNING!!! question is the "Frag Tank" a method of storage and categorizing for sale or is it generally a way to display corals like my kiddos want to do with it. Secondly is this display or storage as healthy as a reef environment for them?

Ive has it running for 3 years and that is why things look SO great! I keep it in order just to show it off and when ever I sell something I know where it is. Although even if you don’t plan on selling you should still do it that way because it helps prevent coral wars. My whole entire system is extremely tidy. I have all tools and chemicals labeled. Also make sure your hands remain out of the tank. When your dealing with a frag tank they normally have a ton of corals meaning they also have a ton of toxins. Unlesss they are zonas it’s not that harmful normally to people but it is stressful to the fish. May I ask how old are the students? Best Of Luck!!!

My kids are 9th - 12th graders. we are starting a biocube 32 right now it has been running with water and rock since Monday. I teach Special education Sciences in a High School. My wife who teaches next door Honors Biology to 10th graders is also enjoying the tank and planning curriculum for her kiddos as well. in all we will server around 150 students a year between us with this tank system

Oh ha ha I’m only 14 but I’ve been in the hobby for over 8 years! I would love if this was at my school sounds pretty cool. I’ve spoken at several conventions and have been to the last 4 MACNAS last year I presented a scientific poster. Would you like me to send you a photo of it it deals with a theory of growing coral faster. Let me know I’d be happy to send it. Here’s some pics of my main tank.

how difficult is it to ship corals? my LFS don't seem to have large selections so when we get to that point we will be looking for other avenues

I basically only buy coral online anymore that’s te best place. Some places I would recommend would be World Wide Corals Saltwaterfish.com and Uniqe Corals. Here is my scientific poster. Let me know what you think!

Thanks so much I worked on it for about a year and I’m currently working on another one!
