Looking for some help plumbing a frag tank to my main system. My DT is on my main level with the sump in the basement under the tank, my sump in on a stand that's around 3.5 feet tall. I'd like to have a frag tank next to my sump but not sure how to plumb them together if they are both around the same level. My sump is a trigger sump with a thieling roller filter if that makes any difference. Any tips would be appreciated!

You will have to lower the sump less then the drain on the frag tank. Can’t defy gravity. The only other option would be to connect the two tanks together laterally like a secondary sump.

Thanks! What would be the best way to connect them laterally?

I agree with @Ultra Aquatics you can plumb them together.

If it were me i think the better option is a cheap diy short stand for the sump that gets it close to the ground. In my opinion it is a lot less hassle and less prone to issues that having your frag system plumbed in laterally to the sump.

Thank you! Maybe that is what I'll have to do.
