okay is this enough flow?

first heres my whole set up!

55 gallon tank and stand

3 mj1200s

bac pak 2r protien skimmer with mj1200

lights are going to start with 2x260 watt pc fixtures then going to be getting a 4 bulb t5 in the next two weeks from a friend

is this enough flow? enough light? any suggestions to make this a great frag tank?

what four bulbs should i use in the t5 fixture?

Sounds about right to me. The T5 fixture should finish it off well.

On the T-5 Bulbs I'm using:
ATI Actinic
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Aqua Blue Special
ATI Blue Plus

There are on 2 switch and looks awsome.

I like these 4 bulbs: 2 ATI Blueplus, 1 UVL Aquasun, and 1 ATI Aquablue Special. That is the one a lot recommend in forums, and the color is great for a 4 bulb.

I use the following combo for a 4bulbg T5:

2 ATI BluePlus
1 KZ fiji purple
1 UVL super actinic

Suggest a photoperiod for me:

48" tank 12" deep - SPS

I started out with 2 175w 10K MH running 8 hrs/day. The frags started browning out. I kicked the time up to 12 hrs/day. That helped a little but still nothing like the display tanks.

I added two ATI blue + T5s and set them on 12 hrs and put the MHs on 8 hrs. Now it seems like all the intense blue and purple have changed to subtle pastel colors. I talked to Brandon at the swap yesterday and he suggested something like 12 hrs on the T5s (although he's running VHOs) and 4 hrs for the halides.

I just need something that will preserve the colors from the display tanks.

Thanx

PS. sorry bout the hijack but your question made me think about asking this!
