My LFS had to recently frag one of their Rainbow Trachy due to it not doing well, they fragged the unaffected part of the coral. I have experience with Trachy’s and currently have one so I decided to see if could get this one to recover as I hear they are notoriously hard, the LFS gave it to me really cheap for obvious reasons.
I’ve had it for about a week now, noticed it is getting puffy and appears to be doing okay, still has its skeleton showing from where it was fragged, only time will tell how it does though!
Currently keeping it on the bottom of my sand bed in the shadier part, guessing around 100-150 par, although I don’t have a par meter.
I will post updates here as it (hopefully) recovers.
Thank you for your time!
