Fragging a Scoly Frag

So how often are you feeding them to get this growth?

Awesome job btw.

I just got a "button scolly" is this just a nick name for small scolly or what?

I haven't been feeding it much and water changes have been lacking. I have found that feeding = growth. But, I figured a photo anyway would be good.

I think I missed the mouth on the quarter frag that I kept. It has grown a little, but it is only just now able to eat. So, it should pick up on growth now. The other quarter was growing well last I heard a couple of months ago.

Someone messaged and requested an update. The frags did fine. I think that with such a small scolly being fragged as was the case with the fragging of a frag that deviding it into two peices and using the epoxy putty was the way to go. It was round very quickly. I have since had a tank crash and no longer have the project. But, it was certainly a good case for showing that it is possible. Especially since I am working out of a 20 gal long tank and tger than I should on water changes etc. In other words if I can do it, someone with actual reef skills should be able to do it and probably better. Anyways, I have a knifemaking youtube channel and recently posted a video that included a few shots that I dug up of the frags. Here is the link: end to go lon

Just a quick question
If I wanted to frag my Scoly into two do I need to cut straight down the centre of the mouth

Thanks for the reply
I'm seriously considering doing it to a warpaint Scoly
If I do I'll post it in here since your the one who gave me that bit of confidence that I needed
Thanks

Hi all, lovely to meet you

I have a 3 headed war paint scoly, there are 3 visible mouths and I want to frag them. I'm guessing the best way is to separate each frag so that each one has a mouth? Would this be a less risky task as each one will have a functional mouth?
