Thanks for sharing! I am waiting with anticipation on this one!

Wow nice job on cutting the scoly and looks health after the cut. I personally would have a hard time cutting such a nice coral.

All looks good today. Scoly is inflated and doesn't look stressed at all.

Ya, me too! Cause if it works, I am going to ask you to cut YOURS! :D
thats a good one . yah Rev three times lol

here's a sequence of pictures spanning 30 minutes where I fed it.

I watched as it dropped it's intestines and wrapped up a mysis shrimp sorry about the coraline

here it is drawing up into itself

Here's a great shot of it wrapping a piece of shrimp and bring it in to eat

I worried about the stringy intestines possibly getting snagged up and damaged. But 30 minutes later, it had drawn itself back in
That was two days after we cut it, here it is 5 days from fragging...cant even see any damaged tissue looks great

very nice! keep the updates coming!

how long do you guys estimate it would take for the scoly to become whole/round again? i know with fungias sometimes it doesn't turn out round as it used to.. just haven't seen anyone frag scolymias before.. :)

only 1 month to get round?.. I wouldve thought more like 6 months?

yes, we need some updates.. and don't mean to hijack, but if the skeleton is showing, would it be best to dremel out the old stuff without flesh so the scoly can recover/regenerate better?

I dont know, but today I noticed that it formed a new mouth. Since the cut was along the length of the mouth instead of cutting it across, the mouth seems to have rotated 90 degrees, its fully formed, and not just part of the cut.
