fragging acans, what are best practices? Can I use a dremel?

So, I need to frag/re-mount some acans I have that are overgrowing their plug. I do not have a band saw. Do not plan to get one. I live in a condo so space is premium. I do have a circular saw... that seems very scary to me. What are other options? Can I use a dremel? If so, which one and which bit would be best. Are there other tools that would get the job done?

Tried to search on here for threads on fragging acans, but didn't have luck finding. I am going to post pretty much same exact thread for favia.

Sounds like your best option is a dremel with a decent size diamond wheel. I don't know how many dremel models there are but so long as it spins it should work. I have a standard model and it works great (very basic, nothing fancy).

Buy your diamond wheels on e-bay, the ones at the hardware store are like $20.

I don't see any reason why this same method wouldn't work on favias. Just combine threads to keep things in one place.

I use a tile saw (any diamond blade will work) being careful not to cut the flesh then split the frags apart with a screwdriver and cut the flesh with a razor

this is the best way I have come up with to cut lps corals and they should heal within a couple days and growing in a week
