Hey guys, I was at the LFS and noticed some really pretty coral it was called like button or doughnut or something. After looking around I cant find anything about fragging them. Is there a way to do it? I feel like if you cut them in half they would not grow back into a circle. Does anyone have any info on this? They are just really pretty and expensive so I want to frag them if possible.

It is not normally attempted to frag these corals, and I wouldn't advise doing it. It will take a long time for them to recover and grow back into a circle, if they can recover at all. Some people have done it though, but they are meant to be show piece corals that are not propagated.

Do you know how often they bud or spawn? I am finding very little information on them

I wonder if anyone has ever had them spawn in a tank. The more I read. I find that they need to spawn to reproduce and that they don't bud.
