I test growth rates with some sps corals, I've read that dragging promotes growth. I want to cut small pieces and glue them to some rubble. I dont have any specialized tools to cut corals and was thinking of using angle players ( dikes ) to cut a small piece off. Is this doable ? or do I need to use bone cutters ?

You can use dykes if they're clean, no oils rust or debris on them. I have a pair that I use just for the tank and rinse and wipe dry every time I use them. I only use them on frag plugs though. I do prefer a stainless bone cutters for corals

I use these guys. Just as good as any of the other brands. Just take a while to get here from China.
