I finally got around to fragging some of my stereonepthya. So now I wait till they get over being mad at me. The fragging went clean so I don't anticipate any problems. But I was surprised at how soft the rock is they're on and how they have "roots" way down to the inside. I dropped the rocks back in the tank incase they can grow back from some of the wandering roots. I guess now I need to make a web page---LOL

Ug---I hate shipping. :/ LOL

Post some pics of the colony and your frags!

Here are some colony pictures. I can't post any photos of the frags yet because I am still fighting with them to stay on the plugs. I'm gonna have to come up with another way cause they really don't give a rat's buttocks how much glue you use or how long you give them to attach in calm water they're just like "see ya----"
Oh and that first one I have no fragged yet.

I use an elastic band on softies, too much slime for glue to work.

I've done that in the past only to have them just cleave themselves and swim away. These aren't slimy at all though. They just refuse to stay put. Im gonna try some of those clear latex ouch less hair bands and hopefully keep them loose enough so the coral won't cut itself in half but tight enough to hold it in place. Those are wider and thinner so maybe it will work better than the rubber band.

Wider is gentler and less likely to cut through, I put the band on the coral once to get it secure and wrap the rest not touching the coral.
