I've got a mat of GSP growing like crazy on my rocks. I love it (I understand that most people wouldn't) but I'm starting to run out of places for it to grow and I'm wondering if there's an easy way to trim it back? Can it be fragged without breaking off the rock itself?

Unfortunately no easy way for this one. Will have to cut the rock to frag it. Sometimes you can get lucky and peel the mat back in chucks but this is getting really lucky!

I have beautiful GSP. It has now officially covered one full rock. I have separated this rock away from any other rock. So when it starts to grow on the grass or grow I will cut it off and see if someone wants it or discard it because then I would have too much of the GSP in my tank.

Like Red Fox said above me, peeling the mat off is the best bet. If you can get the edge up somewhere you may be able to very gently and slowly peel off a large portion of the mat which you can then lay on a paper towel and frag with a razor, then glue to frag plugs to sell. I have had very good luck with this method. After you frag it this time, lay a few pieces of rubble over where the GSP used to be, so when it grows back over, you can take the pebble out from underneath it and you have a nice starting point. :). Good luck!
