I've got a rock that is overflowing with mushrooms and I'd like to get a lot of them off. I'm thinking it's a lot like an anemone where you just have to lightly peel the foot off the rock. Then it's just a matter of getting it to attach to a frag plug. Am I correct in this thinking? If not, how should I go about fragging them? The tank is a "little" dirty in this pic. It's a process to bring it back after you let it go for a month.

Razor and cut the top off and an elastic band to a new rock.

Try and peel them off.

New rock next to old and let them merge over.
This is the way!

You can't really peel them off. Either best to cut them up and rubber band, or just place a rock rubble next to it, and allow it to grow onto the rubble.

I'm a little confused, Just any old part of it will grow into a new mushroom? Or is there a certain part that I need to cut?

i usually use a tube and create a siphon to suck the mushroom into it and slice the foot from the bottom, makes it a lot easier & you have the mushroom separated quick so you can do as you please with it

Any old part is right.
You can cut the top off and slice it like a pizza if you want. They will all grow into a mushroom. And the stem will too.
