Well, this is not a problem I thought I would ever have, even tho I read and read about it... my birdsnest is on the verge of starting to shade other corals and I’m gonna have to start thinking about giving it a trim, can this be done in tank? Or will I have to pull it out? It’s cemented pretty well in place... and then what’s the best way, just snap some branches off or do I need to get a small fine tooth saw? It seemed to just poke along until the last 3 months or so and has just took off like a weed.

I recently trimmed my down. I did it in the tank, very carefully. Some branches just chipped off with a gentle touch, others needed a nice cut. I used bone cutters.

You’ll be fine in the tank -
