Fragging Pulsing Xenia

Hi, i was reading up on Xenia and i had read that any piece of it can and will grow out to become a full xenia stalk. Does this mean i can chop one in half, attatch it to a rock and both pieces will fully grow back out? what about chopping one of the pulsing arms off and attaching that? Im a fragging noob and was just curious what the outcome would be before i go about hacking it up.

Xenia is easier if you can cut a bit of rock underneath it and superglue it down. Cut pieces are hard to attach and survival rates drop. You can cut free pieces and attach them but it takes some time and patience but it can be done.

You can peel off the foot with a knife and keep it in tact. If you puncture it, it will deflate and take a long time to heal. One stalk will take over in a few weeks. This stuff grows out of control, wish I never would have put it in my system but my wife loves it

I've had pretty good success peeling the base of it off using an old credit card or plastic scraper. It's easier if it's on a flat surface (like the glass) and not attached to a rock.

I have a plan for you. just take some scissors and snip off all the ends, make sure your pumps are on so that they go everywhere in the tank . There is absolutely no need to be nice and fragile to zania. That stuff could live in toilet water. I don't take chance anymore. I've been trying to eradicate this stuff for years now. I wait until it gets a decent stark and I rip it off, if you only rip it apart, all the little pieces will form new stalks and the process restarts.

a sick sick technique for both corallimorphs and xenids is to tilt a small piece of rock up against the flesh at the base pressing on it and wait two weeks

it will grab, you scissor up the middle and have two mounted frags. lean two rocks up against the base. ..
