When you frag your ricordea what do you use to get them to take hold of the plug/rock?

Years ago I used to use bridal veil for mushrooms.

Recently just started to frag off some small ricordea to keep #'s down. I just cut them, cut a plastic cup in half, poke some wholes and cover them on the sand bed until they take hold of some of the sand bed then I glue that to the plug.

I usually just put them in a small glass bowl full of rubble, find a spot on the bottom where they'll be receiving enough light but the current won't blow them away and give them some time. Maybe use some netting and a rubber band to cover the bowl if need be. Once they've attached you can pretty much glue them wherever you want now.

I have been so unsure on where to cut, my Ricordia is looking more like a carpet anemone. kind of off subject but would like to know how to frag. Thanks.

Well the rock mine are on I cannot pull from tank to frag(if you can do outside tank in small tub of water I would suggest this), so I wait till I see a second mouth and baby is formed then I cut between the 2 mouths with a scalpel. Then I take scalpel put it on rock and slowly go around base slowly to cut it off the rock. Nasty snot and slime will go everywhere(so I shut off pumps) while cutting. It will look nasty and you will think you killed it but if tank is healthy they will recover fine.

Don't be scarred just take your time, go slow and all should be good.
