Very sharp scissors and one cut clean through. Then, make sure you dip in either lugols or at least coral rx/revive. These guys have a tendency to get bacterial infections. You will see black necrotic tissue around the base of where you cut. Don't panic, just rinse off in the dip, then fresh saltwater, and put back.
Superglue and epoxy will not work to secure these guys down. Either rubber bands or thread and needle to tie sometimes helps. Sometimes they like to break or die where you try to attach. Again, don't panic.
I put the frags in a basket with a bunch of rubble and wait for them to attach on their own. Then you can move them to a rack or somewhere else. It may take up to two weeks, but after many, many, many tries of doing this, that is the best way with less damage to the pieces.
Also, prepare for lots of slime when you frag. They spew lots of yuck. In a small system, be ready for a water change.
