Fragging zoas.

I know there's a million different tutorials out there about this, but every one I can find shows you how to frag them off a plug or a smooth piece of rock. I'm wondering how everyone gets there zoas off a rock that's slightly jagged so you can't just cut underneath the zoa to remove it.

Look for where there is no zoa flesh connecting and chisel or razor blade them off the rock. As long as you dont cut the flesh of the zoa you should be ok. Try to not get glue on the zoa either, just the rock you cut under it.

With my plays I just cut mid stem and glue using flesh I never have to frag in a way that makes mimy colony's smaller

Thanks guys. I'll give both suggestions a go. Is it best to frag with lights on, off or is that not important? That's another thing the tutorials don't mention...
I duno rob, some are brown, some are green at the moment. I have them in my fowlr to see if my puffer would eat them. He hasn't touched them since I put them in a few months ago so I wana frag some and put them in my reef and see if they colour up. I got about 50 polyps and a baby plate on the same rock for $2 if they colour up nicely ill set some aside for you if you like them.
It's not a great photo coz it was just after the lights came on.

I got these the other day the first time I've found some high end zoas so stoked ay don't know what they are yet but they are like five times the size of the brown ones when I frag em I'll let you know I wish I could send ya a photo under the led but my iphon does not like it to blue lol

Awesome! I'm keen for a trade when I get my stuff together and if these ones colour up. Haha yea the iphone camera isn't great. Nice find, how do they look under the blues?
I'll try to get a pic of those Blastos when I can. I haven't forgotten about it.
I'll hopefully get these ugly brown ones fragged tomorrow.

I can't get over the colour under the blue even the brown little ones come up good but these new ones just like there selling in the u.s and their huge five time the size of the common ones I'm really happy wit em worth the $150 I paid for them I know $300 on zoas well worth it just need em to multiply
