G-Shocks Rock!.. Hoarding can be a good thing, at least you have some nice colonies and not a huge Stamp collection..

Chea!!cut em up and pass em around:D
HEHE..:nerd:

thanks for the vid, was curious on how best for chalices.

Curious though, why the hammer tap on the initial cut instead of just a press with the razor blade? Just need to generate the force fast so the whole colony doesn't crack up?

done that too.. chalices are pretty soft... just seems like a faster cut.. either way works, you always don't need the hammer.. just gotta hit things sometimes..??

great vid! thanks for sharing. DB, i think the band saw would tear it up....

I was curious on this-given how thin chalice skeletons are, will a band saw work? I typically use a band saw for cutting up Acans, not sure if it'd just wreck a chalice though. Thoughts/experience?
the tissue is pretty tough. a band saw would tear it up, i would not do it

What should on use than if fragging a chalice that is grown on a frag plug or rock? I don't think a razor is going to work.

An inland with a good blade work perfectly fine, just use lots and lots of water.

Nice vid by the way D, would love to see some of those Tat's up close in the Tattoo thread I started!

I used a paint scraper with razor blade and chopped through the chalice. Then I worked my my roughly through the actual plug.

I love chalice corals, just don't live well with me. This is an old chalice I had in the 120g. It did real good though.

HD looks good!
