So I have had this about one year or a year and a half and it’s getting big and taking up space it’s up to 55+ heads and I’m scared to cut into it and frag it is it easy to frag this or could I mess it up and kill the whole colony

To frag you gotta have the diamond blade saw thingy but it should be fine the polyps won’t open for a week or two afterwards but it should be cool if your water quality is good

Ok cool thanks that’s funny I was just looking tonight into one of the saws.

I use a dremel with a diamond blade cuts right through nice and easy. If they are happy they will open up quick. Just make sure you don’t cut the fleshy part. Best thing to do is wait until nighttime to see when the polyps are “sleeping” which exposes the stems. Or blow them with a baster to make them retract.
