I have just accidentally added fragranced bleach to my filter sock (instead of the usual fragrance free bleach). I immediately noticed the froth so I got scared. What is a wise course of action here? Note that I add hydrogen peroxide to bleach when soaking filter socks.

Shall I reapply soaking in regular bleach after washing? Or toss the socks away?
Appreciate your input.

Thanks

I noticed during the pandemic that I could only find low splash bleach. I still washed my socks in the machine, and am still using them.

Wash them up, then see if they still smell. If they do, do a regular bleach wash.
Thanks i will buy extra now. Will take these four off cycle for a few months while I beat them up in washing. Thanks

Seachem Prime

Dechlorinator, and water conditioner.
I see thanks. I never used it as I was using rodi from days 1. Thanks so I should soak it in prime? But I am concerned about soapy fragrance which is technically "not-bleach".

I wouldn't sweat it.

I wash my sock in the same machine as my clothes. While I certainly don't add detergent, you can clearly see there is some residue in the dispenser. Never had an issue and I've been doing it this way for years. No extra rinse cycle, I just let them air dry and throw them in my sump.
