I got some frags in my tank that keep getting knocked down by snails and I've got coral glue so what's the best way to glue the frags take them out of the water or glue them in the tank

There acans and LPS corals and there still on there plugs because I'm scared that I'll mess them up taking them off

Here is how I do it.
Cut the stem off or the coral from the plug.
Put superglue on the base
Dip in a cup of saltwater
Add a small ball of reef safe epoxy
Put superglue on that and dip again in the cup.
Find your placement and twist the frag into the location.

Never to come off that way :)

Is it hard to pop the frag off of the plug because some people say it is easy with a butter knife and some say that you can mess the frag up

You could snip the post off the frag disc and glue the disc down. Your acans will grow over the disc in you'll never know it was there. I use a super glue gel. It's a little easier to glue outside of the tank where you can dry both ends off. You could also glue inside the tank if needed.
