Frags look healthy?

Hello everyone,

I'm very new to the hobby let alone corals. Just wanted to get some opinions as to whether or not the frags look like they're progressing. I believe my prism goniastrea and kryptonite candy cane frags are doing well but the alien maze brain looks as if it is dying off in some areas. Any suggestions appreciated. Tank is 12 " tall, 6 ft long and about 4.5" deep. 10.5gallons. I posted a pic of the BT anemone too because it looks as if it has grown or feels more comfortable expanding. I thought it looked good, let me know what you think. Thanks

Side not, I wanted to ensure the frags were doing well before I mounted them. I plan on mounting them within a week or so. Thanks

YEa I agree, they all look well but the Brain, he's some some problems going on there. Move him perhaps? Differnet flow and light.

all look good but brain, theres some skeleton showing just try moving him. Everything else looks great, good job

Do you guys suggest higher or lower? I know it's an evaluation game but I figured I would ask for suggestions. I do not know my par readings but it is a 48" marine orbit light and I originally had the brain in a lower flow area but same level of light. Now it is in a moderate to high flow area with same lighting.

Also the brain came with some spotty die off areas or areas that looked calcified. The frag was bigger than I expected but since some areas were stony where the membrane separated I cannot good a good read on what it wants or if it is repairing itself or dying off.

Well if you bought it like that then let it be in your tank unless you notice a wider spread of tissue loss.

That's the confusing thing. Areas that were healthy show regression where areas that seemed unhealthy have now shown growth. I'll just leave it for a week and go from there. Thanks guys!

That is weird, yeah i would let it be. Hope he recovers. Nice corals though!

Tank has been stocked for about two weeks, I hope to see improvement.

What are your tank parameters?
Those maze brains really don't like alk swings.
Also a Nem is a dicey move for a tank that new. I expect it to be the next to start showing problems.

I befriended the guy that works at my local LFS store so when I set up the tank I pulled the water rocks and sand from one of their healthy unmedicated tanks to jump start the cycle process. So far the anemone had to be moved once so I placed it on that center rock and it seems to thrive. Eats like a horse and really like a to expand. Hope you're wrong but I get where you are coming from with new tanks and nems. Thanks
