So I’m new to the hobby and the journey so far has been interesting. This is one of those interesting tall tales but with pictures.
we bought this guy

then we think this thing sucked it’s brain out late one night

Then it looked similar to this for weeks and we just left it in there because ppl said it’s calcium for the reef.

but late one nite it began to have a hint o orange and now it looks like

Question is do I have a zombie orange fungus Plate coral.....please say yes.

Plate corals are notorious for returning from the dead.

Congrats it came back! this is pretty typical of plates as salty said

I never remove any skeletons in less than a year. I've been surprised before.
