Frank tank build

Hey guys! It's been along time since I've posted or even been on this forum. I have recently picked up a really nice acrylic frag tank. I'm very excited to get this project started and shared with you all for questions and help!

The dimensions for the frag tank are 48L 24w and 10 tall. It's a good size with three sections.

I have 3 120w led fixtures, one for each section of coarse. So far I am not 100% sure as to which section will be dedicated to what, but the possibilities are endless and I'm sure it'll change as I go along.

But anyways, here's the progress so far. I have the stand built. Next to come im painting the inside, skinning, then plumbing and then to add water!

There never a end just a black whole that never ends lol but to me that's the fun of the hobby creating building changing seeing the growth and watching life grow before your eyes

Might want to add some bearing supports to your stand. And the foam pad under the tank is not needed. You can place an acrylic tank on a hard FLAT surface.

There's plenty of support, I didn't know that about acrylic

The pic posted above shows that the horizontal 2X4 has no support under it.

It's does, it has 2 on it top and bottom

Ya long as the surface your putting the tank on is flat and smooth and level you can put the tank directly on the surface won't hurt the tank I had a 180 acrylic years ago sat on top of a normal stand that I put extra cross bracing under top were normal glass aquarium don't need it then put a sheet of 3/4 on top of the stand screwed it down with stainless screws and put aquarium right on top after I sanded and painted it no problems had aquarium for 12 years before I sold it
