I recently joined my 55g in-line with my 90g reef and 70g sump. I ran into an issue with a Cream Angel and Pakastan Butterfly picking at my Open Brain pretty aggessively. This time around, I'm focusing more on the reef, so they had to go...but I didn't want them to go. :) Enter the 55g. Initially, I was doing it short term, until I could get a handle on the situation and save my brain coral (my favorite...but I say that about most of them, as I do with most of the fish). Anyway, as I'm strolling around the LFS, I saw a 110g and was struck with an idea...Fraternal Twin Tanks.

My 90g and 55g sit on a 40 inch tall, 8 ft long stand, so I'll be replacing the 55g with a tank that has the same footprint as the 90g, just a little taller. Now I'm struggling to figure out which one will be the Reef and which one will be the FOWLR. Pictures to follow. The new water is circulating in the Brute containers, I just have to sort out plumbing, we'll see how far I get this weekend. :D
