"Dermosa" hybrid? Spotted mantle and distinctive scutes on shell. Definitely not your usual Deresa!

"Dermosa" hybrids??

Note spots on the mantle and prominant scutes on the shell usually associated with Squamous and the typical coloring and pattern with shell characteristics of a Deresa. These are cultured clams, we have 50 or so in stock like this.

Sweet clams! Do we need to register again and set up an account on your new site? Just realized I don’t get emails anymore from PEA

Where the heck is the DOUBLE 'Like' button?

Beautiful.

So, will you be having clams on a regular basis again? Not currently ready for a clam but really like the teal ones you currently have. Would hope to be able to get one in the future.

I hope to have them regularly, but these are cultured so production is somewhat spotty.

Some further questioning of folks that have many years experience culturing both Squamosa and Derasa say that while these that have these crazy spotted patterns and fluted shell might look quite different and could be confusing are not in fact hybrids, although the folks that cultured these actual clams think differently. So, who knows?? They are nice clams nonetheless.

Speaking of freaky clams, how about this two-faced Maxima we got from our partner in Tahiti a few years ago.

Now he's culturing some two-faced, look at this one at the farm now, hope to have this one available for sale later this month or early Nov.
