Haha!!!! Gonna run trim thinking 1x4 around everything. Well it'll be cut down to 1x2 or so. Painted blue. Up top will be a 1x4 structure wrapped in same. Front side lifting hood. All trim layout the same as bottom. It'll all be a flat black with that blue for trim. Downed to detailed work so no more mess ups. Should look good when all together.

After work here in about 20 miles... I'm going to pick up my 40 breeder since the 1$ gallon is going on.

Canopy will only be ....a 1x4 width high? Id reccomend like a 1x12 dpeneding on lighting to raise it above tank more. Or will it be a hanging canopy?

Wife painted the stand. Got the sump built. Heading in the right direction. Getting closer.

Well update on the build...

Took one baffle out of sump added 2 more.
Drilled the tank... not that bad. Quitell easy.
Painted the back black
Got the bean animal plumbing done.
Single return over the top

Before the dollar gallon deal ended I picked up a 20 gallon long to replace our 2.5 gallon in the room.

Waiting on the black silicone to get here to hang the c2c overflow.. then it'll be ready for sand, rock and water.

On the return I added a t that reduced 3/4 to 1/4 added a quick connect which will plug and play into a acclimation tank I'm going to build to sit on the ledge of stand.

Acclimation box plans..
Size not sure of yet.
Bottom drain into bucket
1/4 quick connect for return flow and drip
Either 1/2 or 3/4 hole for overflow.

Bring home new fella.. dump contents into container. Add slow drip after it fills or acclimate to where it needs to be then drain into bucket. Pull new addition out drop into a dip let sit.... while sitting wipe out acclimation box. Open the 1/4 inch line and let it run as normal tank.. grab new fella dip in freshwater clean of the dip add back to acclimation box and keep eye out for unwanted pests ... all be connected to sump and run as a continuous acclimation and or qt holding cell as I like to call it.

I'd probably paint the white PVC above the stand black just to match everything else.

Thought about that since it's gonna be visible from the living room. Or enclose the back portion of the stand. Haven't figured that out yet. Didn't know if paint would leak thro pvc in the long run either..

Would you look at that beauty coming together so nicely..... the c2c. Black acrylic.. background black. Doing a black sand... have it in all my other tanks. Makes our colors stand out more.

Not long before I can give it a full run... anxiously waiting.... think at this point I'd rather wait for a Dr in a waiting room..... this hobby is killing me haha....
