Did you verify the tail is in tact? It looks chopped off in your picture. The bobbit in the picture will be fine, but the remaining appendage can also grow a new head and terrorize your tank later.

yes.
i sawed off the piece of rock it was in from the main rock…
then for good measure, i superglued all the holes around the cut area.

but from what i have read, they can regrow from any segment of their body except the very tip of their tail.

fortunately, eunice worms are not as prolific as bristleworms…
so i’m hoping this is the only one

Ok, best of luck. I cut mine in half while extracting it. After 3 days in a container, the tail was still very much reactive to vibration and touch. It acted like a regular bobbit but with no head.
