I was hoping to have immediate access to all my old pics but the older format is preventing me from opening them. So this build post will be Benjamin Button style with a Tarantino flip once we count down.

I won this tank at ReefStock 2010 or 11, I forget. I had already set up a 45g tall, terrible for a reef but a gift from my wife none the less. When I found out they had conventions for reefs like Reef Stock, I flipped and had to go. $20 bucks in raffle tickets and a drunk wife later I was driving this tank home.

Above is a February 2017 shot in day and night. It's a 34 gallon system that's going on 6-7 years, I inserted an Vertex aquaristix illumina led bar into the hood with fans as an add on. I'll post up the build as soon as I can get the pics to work. It has an apex controller and old style MP40, yes you read that right a MP40 in a 34 gallon tank. Also a Steve T rack, skimmer upgrade (tunze the small one), and ATO and the original t5s as well.

The water quality is currently untested and unknown. As a recent graduate with a BS in Env Sci w/ a conc. in Water management and hydrologic science I've never been more disappointed in myself. As a hobbiest I'm super happy that everything is alive and growing and that my brain has everything on auto pilot from years of testing and adjusting to what's needed. WC are just about 30% per month.

As for the corals, I stopped counting how many after 75. It's mixed Reef and the diversity works real well.I frag a lot to keep everything from blowing up. I currently have one fish, a six line wrasse I bought from a dirty petco that didn't look good. It was a pitty buy several weeks after my dwarfed local breed clowns died at 5 years. The wrasse is now very colorful and happy (fat) in his wonderdome. I have several kinds of snails, 2- 6 year old hermits and lots of natural biota.

I will keep updating with older fotos to show the years of progression. If you have any questions, ask away. It looks like I have to become a better member to get bigger pics so that's next on the list.

Currently I made a wild decision to add 15 new SPS. I might have to remove the stock lighting and add a hydra, ecotech or kessel. First I plan on moving some of the older established corals into another tank I have had going for a year. That will allow about 7 of the sps a home and room to grow. Second I am going to build up some columns to add some of the sps in the mix of the frey.

I had to build a retaining wall before to hold back a rouge nem that started to move 2 years in. Just last month I transferred it to previous mentioned tank while the nem was trying to escape into my nice Corals. I will use that building method to build the Columns since it appeared to work well. I would like to add reef putty if I can get affirmation it won't melt into the water. Anyway here is a pic of my fav RFA and my tank as of tonight using a yellow gel filter. It makes the colors terrible but shows more of the corals locations. Pls excuse the two frag racks blocking the view, there hosting my newly acquired sps

Where there is exposed live rock is where I plan on making pillars to put some acros.

Thanks! I'm hoping the last few corals top it all off Nicely

I went nuts and took off 1/3 of my tank, 3 huge rocks and added a single arch my brother made. It's hanging in the highest light so I can grow light hungry sps. I'm in the middle of redoing all 3 of my tanks so it looks like a touch of hell ATM.

Here is the top 1/3 in its new home. The color is yucky, maybe stick bio cube leds or stress from running upstairs with the rock lol

Front and side view as of today. Tested PAR and put Corals accordingly. I can't wait till it's all cleaned up and every coral has a home again. Also found my converted old pics on a drive so I can finally finish my build thread soon.

The three amigos! I love these mini scolly's!! I wish I knew more about them like breeding habits/info. I showed Jake Adams at Reef stock and he said they are most likely and undescribed species.

Pics taken on phone with and without filter. In person they look like the bottom ones in blue light. I'll get a daylight pic soon.

The psamacora I moved bloated out for a few hours, very ethereal looking.

Got my RSM over haul kit, 163 bucks to replace the pump, lenses, bulbs and all the screws and all that jazz. Sadly a bulb broke in shipping so I will have to contact Red Sea tomorrow

Red Sea shipping out a new bulb, woot. Today I messed with my return pump to change the flow to agitate only on one half of the surface. My PAR went from 298-262 flux at 3" to a nearly constant 350! I'm hoping a bulb and lense change will get that up to 400.

The goal is to get these Acros glowing and growing! The blue led adds about 100 Par at the top, yet I don't like that blue all over

3 awesome additions

Sunset milli
Strawberry shortcake
And a teal stag

Thanks!! It doesn't seem to photo well with the new rock, it kinda looks like a coral humanoid hunched over pulling in winnings at a vegas table.

The scape seems to change every year. I should put up old pics in a timeline.
