Okay, this is a weird question since it’s not even for a tank BUT, I’ve been drawing on a desk and it’s going with a French Polynesian reef theme. So far I have:
Mobula birostris (Giant Manta Ray)
Chaetodon kleinii (Klein’s Butterflyfish)
Pseudojuloides atavai (Atavai Pencil Wrasse)
Hoplolatilus cuniculus (Dusky Tilefish)
Gymnothorax thyrsoideus (White Eyed Moray Eel)

I have a HUGE area to fill in, preferably smaller fish since I have a large ray already. It’s about 3.5 foot x 2 foot

Moorish Idol, Heniocus, black tipped sharks, Lemon sharks, squirrel fish

I took this in French Polynesia.

Those "rocks" in the water are giant tridacna clams. The blonde on the right is my wife.

Those are some beautiful images!! Definitely going to try add a Tridacna in there somewhere!
Also is that Forcipiger longirostris? That was my second choice of a butterflyfish if I didn’t go for a CBB in my 4’ tank.

Black manta ray

Well, I added a Forcipiger long I rostratus but it came out a “bit” bigger than I originally wanted haha.

Shrunk it!
It’s SO much smaller than it was, it’s now around a similar size as the other butterflyfish (C. kleinii)

Just an update on the desk!
Now have:
Mobula birostris
Pseudojuloides avatai
Zanclus cornutus
2x Forcipiger longirostris
Gymnothorax thyroideus
2x Hoplolatilus cuniculus
Chaetodon kleinii
Elacatinus oceanops

Woah, those pictures look like they were taken on an actual film camera. Those are practically extinct.

They do look like they’re from a film camera! They’re beautiful photos too, came out great!

The first colours are in! I’m in love! Going to stick to pencils on this drawing because they’re less likely to come off and look how bright they are! Even brighter in person.

Edit 1:
Second lot of colours are in! They’re beautiful too, VERY impressed with how it’s coming out and cannot wait for the outcome :D
We all know them! The iconic Big Long Nosed Butterflyfish

Every fish is now coloured in, I may add to the colours but may leave them as it is, really enjoy seeing the manta like what people think when “Manta ray” is mentioned.

I have hundreds of underwater pictures, almost all on a film camera. I have been diving since 1970 :D
