Results will be the same if you are adding the same amount of Kalk. Adding 1gal of 1TSP/Gal or .5 gal of 2Tsp/Gal

Adding hydroxide all at once boosts pH a certain amount, then it drops over time as the tank pulls in more CO2.
Adding the same amount of hydroxide spread out in time never boosts pH as much, because the tank is pulling in CO2 the whole time.
On average, which maintains higher average pH depends on a lot of variables, but spreading out the dosing is recommended to keep the initial pH spike from getting too high.
If you add it all in a few minutes, dilution doesn't matter much, just how much hydroxide is added.
