Any recommendations on a cost effective unit that will do the job? Need to add one to my fish room in the basement. It is approximately 10x20 and gets rather humid. I have an exhaust fan hooked up currently but does little.

How many gallons you have and what is the ambient temp of the room? Any dehumidifier in basement too?

I run a 70 pint/day dehumidifier in basement and it keeps it at 45% and then run a dehumidistat and 340 CFM fan as an exhaust and have no problems keeping 1000+ gallons of water in the isolated fish room with low humidity.

Sweet, thank you. No dehumidifier, total water volume is 500g. Will read up on those.

No problem. I'd think a dehudifier would do you pretty good. Just set up so it can feed directly to a drain, and if you don't have a floor drain to gravity feed to get a dehumidifier that has a pump in it when the reservoir fills. You'd be surprised how fast they fill up, especially with the water volumes we have. I'm currently losing about 22 liters a day on my main system.
