I’m wanting to get fresh air into my skimmer from outside because my PH is very low but I have 1 concern. In the summer we get random mosquito spray trucks that go down my street. If I were to use my old BRS single reactor canister and lid and run the air intake through that and through some activated carbon would that lessen my chances of getting anything introduced into the water column? The intake would be as far away from the street spray as possible.

That is a concern. The thing about GAC is it will deplete and become inert in a short time. Possibly a month or two.

I had a neighbor that had a two stroke lawnmower that kept me from going this route.

I had thought about using soda lime in a reactor, color changing type, but it gets expensive over time. I stopped chasing PH after all that. Running a reverse light in my refugium and using kalkwasser in my ATO helps.

I’m very limited on my space. It’s an AIO. Thought about maybe doing the same type of set up as I was but going in the garage instead still with GAC. No problem changing the GAC every month. It’s only used to park a small car. Opened frequently.

You might be okay then. The other factors are fertilizers, weed killers, lawn pest killers...... Anything you or your neighbors throw out on the lawn.

Hopefully you don't get paranoid like me! Lol;Wooto_O:confused:;Nailbiting;Yuck
