Fresh to salt, using my old wet/dry trickle

Converted to salt, using my 40 breeder as sump, DIY 3 stage wet dry with bio balls and K1 added skimmer,UV,carbon reactor. Started with dead sand and Marco rock.
question, stay with trickle until Tank cycles or move to refug sooner

Trickles IMO still work. Utilize it and add liquid bacteria to it occasionally

I just bought a 120g setup with a wet/dry. Went through the same thing wondering if I should keep it or convert it to a sump. In the end, I decided to keep it a wet/dry.

Who still uses a wet/dry?

Curious how many people still use a wet/dry? I just purchased a used setup and it came with an old eshopps wet/dry. Since I've got some time before the tank gets wet I'm wondering if I should leave it a wet/dry or convert it into a sump...if possible? I'm thinking of keeping it a wet/dry and...
