I did the fresh water dip today, after having some form of white spot disease in my tank for like 2/3 months,

I placed my blue tang in the fresh RO water for 5 minutes some things are at the bottom of the bowl not sure if it’s flukes or what? Any ideas I know it’s hard to see but there’s like 5/6 things that are at the bottom that weren’t there before the fish were there

Hard to tell from the pic. Did you watch the fish in the dip? Flukes are pretty obvious when they come off the fish, easy to see

I watched it but I didn’t see anything it lay on it’s side and played dead for the entire duration so couldn’t see anything come off from the under side of the fish

I circled the spots that weren’t in the bowl before if I swish the water around they move so aren’t a pattern on the bowl. They do seem like small sesame seeds though

Since something did come off I would go ahead and take the fish out and medicate as the FW dip is only for temporary relief. Really all fish should be treated but IDK if you just have one fish or multiple in the tank. Prazi pro would treat for flukes and copper would treat for ich. I am far from an expert on fish disease but there is lots of info in the specific subforum, I just had to treat a few tangs and wrasse after introducing a tang with flukes.

I have 15 fish, blue tang by itself and 14 others in a tank by then self. Only the blue tang has the spots. The other fish are ok but I know the disease is in the tank aswell they’re currently been in copper medication for 2 weeks hanna checker not even working for me. Salifert test kit showing it’s at theurapetic levels but no signs of success is seen
